The Olsztyn-Mirów wildlife refuge is one of the natural areas lying on the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is part of the Natura 2000 project. The nature refuge covers an area of nearly 2 211 hectares. It lies to the east and southeast of Częstochowa. Within the area of the refuge there are, among others, such nature reserves as Sokole Góry, Zielona Góra, Góry Towarne, which can be translated as follows - the Falcon Mountains, the Green Mount and the Towarne Mountains. There are also the ruins of the castle in Olsztyn near Częstochowa.
