The cave is located in the “Ostrężnik” nature reserve at the foot of a great pillar of rock, on top of which there are the remnants of a medieval castle. The cave passages, whose height decreases as the massif gets deeper, extend horizontally. Their total length is approximately 90 m. The silt is sandy and clayey and contains valuable mineral and organic material i.e. animal bones and traces of prehistoric men. The cave is frequently visited by tourists, who find it very attractive.
The cave is located in a forest at the foot of a large group of rocks on the south side of the Żarka-Janów road, about 200 meters west of the houses of Ostrężnik hamlet. A blue trail leads from the car park at the “Ostrężnik” bar to the cave.
The cave can be toured all year round.
